Oregon Asset Building Corps (OABC)

The Oregon Asset Building Corps (OABC) is the Oregon Microenterprise Network’s state-wide VISTA project that aims to end poverty in Oregon by expanding the capacity of our member organizations to serve low-income clients.

For seven years VISTAs in the OABC have been working on projects that build assets through strategies such as financial literacy and Individual Development Account (IDA) initiatives; developing affordable, green-built housing; first-time homebuyer mortgage brokering; home improvements for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners; online business mentoring for low-income entrepreneurs; and business development courses.
