Community Services Consortium/Building Bridges (CSC)

‘Building Bridges’ was created to address the growing needs of non-profit and faith based organizations and educational and government agencies to expand and enhance the services they provide. This program allows host sites to mobilize resources to serve the community in a coordinated and efficient manner. ‘Building Bridges’ is a partnership between Community Services Consortium and the Corporation for National and Community Service. This AmeriCorps *VISTA program can place 15 VISTA members in host sites located throughout Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.

About Community Services Consortium

CSC was established in 1980 by the County Commissioners of Linn, Benton and Lincoln Counties and is now the Community Action Agency for that service area. CSC has more than 25 years of working within our communities to help fight poverty through assistance with housing, food, educational programs and related services. We have over 140 staff and four major departments: Linn Benton Food Share, Housing and Community Resources, Direct Client Services and Head Start (Lincoln County). CSC is also the designated Workforce Investment Act Adult and Youth Services provider.

Mission:

CSC’s mission is to help people in Linn, Benton and Lincoln Counties overcome the causes and conditions of poverty by providing services leading to productive and self-sufficient lives.
